The Indian Accent, The Manor

Recently we dined at The Manor, Indian Accent. I was so impressed with the food, the presentation and the service. Undoubtedly it is the best food in town. The food is out of this world. I believe it is ranked amongst 100 best hotels in the world. Usually ranked among India’s top three modern chefs, Manish Mehrotra creates high-impact dishes marrying regional Indian recipes with contemporary world food. Often conceptual, his plates reference or seek to update traditional flavour pairings. Presentation is central to the experience at The Manor hotel’s signature restaurant. Even in very good Indian restaurants, plates tend to be rustic, but this kitchen’s artful constructions are an appropriate match for the slickly modern dining room. Trained at Mumbai’s prestigious Institute of Hotel Management, Mehrotra worked with the Taj Group before joining Old World Hospitality at The Manor.
If you favor intimate, boutique-style hotels, this is a preeminently classy option. The neighborhood provides a wonderful respite from the madness and traffic of the city.
