Having Sangria. Getting sloshed. Polishing off vegetarian paella

Some thing that grossed me

Image
So far I have been blogging about all nice things about Sitges, about my travel, etc. Life is not all rosy. Let me put something that grossed me (it always does). So much so that, every time I had to cross these shops, I would turn and look away. But I gathered enough courage to click these pictures quickly and make you readers also face the stark reality. The meat shops with lots and lots of dead meat. So much killing of innocent animals. There is a reason why we take young children to pluck apples, strawberries and cherries and not to butcher's shop. It would be a nice world to live in if we stopped killing these innocent animals. They do feel pain. Their mothers, their children cry for them. Stop hurting them. Turn vegetarian.

Maxi mized at the manor

Image
After a long time, I was free today. And I have a free weekend (partially) that I am looking forward to. So I went to my favorite restaurant, The Indian Accent, in the manor.  The chef served me my special navratra food. I wore my Burberry maxi that I have worn earlier here.  I really enjoyed the food and the company. Awesome food. This is not mine. This aaloo chat is mine. This is served in the end- called school time memories. It has chikki, ram laddo, aam papad and fatafat. Only Indians would know this.

The Indian Accent, The Manor

Image
Recently we dined at The Manor, Indian Accent. I was so impressed with the food, the presentation and the service. Undoubtedly it is the best food in town. The food is out of this world. I believe it is ranked amongst 100 best hotels in the world.  Usually ranked among India’s top three modern chefs, Manish Mehrotra creates high-impact dishes marrying regional Indian recipes with contemporary world food. Often conceptual, his plates reference or seek to update traditional flavour pairings. Presentation is central to the experience at The Manor hotel’s signature restaurant. Even in very good Indian restaurants, plates tend to be rustic, but this kitchen’s artful constructions are an appropriate match for the slickly modern dining room. Trained at Mumbai’s prestigious Institute of Hotel Management, Mehrotra worked with the Taj Group before joining Old World Hospitality at The Manor. If you favor intimate, boutique-style hotels, this is a preeminently classy option. The neighborhood p...

Image
In one of my group, there is also a chef. That too a Spanish Chef. We have many potluck parties. Today was one such day. Yes not everything was vegan but there were many vegan options. But look at what all dishes everyone got and look at the special decoration done by our master chef- Spanish chef.  There were cup cakes, kathi rolls, kababs, so much food to eat and so much camaraderie.  I enjoy this group a lot. Master chef with his master strokes. Cup cakes and ensalada caprese Kababs and kathi rolls Asparagus and brocolli Mashed potatoes Some potato dish with interesting filling Bread pakoras mushrooms filling inside each mushroom

Mate

Image
I have never tasted tea or coffee in my life. But I got addicted to mate. Mate is a beberage commonly drunk in Argentina.   In my next birth, I want to be born in Argentina ( and from a womb of a tanguera).

Vegan potluck meet

Image
It was a vegan potluck meet. Everything was vegan- cakes and even 2 flavors of vegan ice creams, vegan waffles, salads and lots of healthy talks about being vegan.  Assorted vegan bake box. These two children are also vegan right from the time of their birth.

In my hotel in Singapore

Image
In my previous post, also I mentioned, I love the brand Uniqlo. Their fabrics are so nice. Recently, I bought this loungewear (nightdress) from Uniqlo in New York. It is the softest fabric. And I can practically go out wearing this. After landing in Singapore, I ordered food in room. St Regis gives you your personal butler and chef. And you can ask them to prepare whatever you want.
