Big fat Indian wedding

It was a spectacular Indian wedding. There were about 5000 people and there were 5000 variety of foods. No kidding, not exaggerating, it was 5000. I could not even see it all, leave aside tasting. And everything was exotic and delicious. The flower decoration was exquisite and so were the chandeliers. Everyone was dressed to kill.  I had a great time.

I am wearing an outfit, that I had picked up from Jaipur. I have worn it here before.

Fashion show with Tango sequence

Today, my friend who is a choreographer, had choreographed a fashion show. She is an expert fashion show choreographer, who puts in her creative bits to make the show different.  Today, I went to see the most amazingly choreographed fashion show. The best part is, that she had also put a Tango sequence, performed by her dance troupe for this fashion show. The audience loved it. It was mesmerizing. My friend is India's most popular choreographer, who specializes in Hip Hop and contemporary. She has done Fifa World cup trophy tour and is about to repeat the same in December. She has done Olympic Torch relay 2 times in a row and has also done opening and closing ceremony of Asian beach games in Muscat. She has choreographed Bollywood films and has prepared contestants for DID ( Dance India Dance). She does wedding choreography according to different themes and requirements. Ronica Jacob can be contacted at : ronicajacob@yahoo.com

Here she is walking the ramp, as the choreographer.

And finally after the show, we were having a good time. I loved what she was wearing. It is from a designer in Thailand.

Dandiya Party

I had written a blog post earlier here about the dandiya party that my friend had hosted. Everyone was dressed in colorful lehenga choli or traditional Indian clothes. It was all girls party. Everyone rejoiced, danced and gorged on wonderful delights.
I had bought mine recently in Jaipur.
Here I am posting some more pictures from the same party.

With the hostess of the party.

Navratras Dandiya Party

A very close friend hosted a Navratras Dandiya party today. There was lots of music, Navratra food and more than 100 women beautifully attired in fabulous lehenga cholis and ethnic wear. The festivities of the season have begun.
I am wearing my latest purchase from Jaipur from one of the top designer there. It is very traditional jaipuri work- complete with leheriya and Gota Patti. This attire went perfectly with the theme- Dandiya and Navratri.
